Project Description
In April, work started on this $8.3 million design/build project. We teamed up with PND Engineersand GreenWorks PCto finalize design on a new in-lieu fishing site that includes construction of 3 breakwaters surrounding a new boat ramp and floating dock, four campsites with facilities, paved roadway and parking lot, landscaping, and environmental remediation at two separate sites. Project also includes the construction of a 150 foot long steel girder bridge that spans over three UPRR tracks. Carol Merrill is leading the efforts as Project Manager, while Anthony Miller is supervising all work onsite with Tom Skesavage as Field Superintendent. Jeff Harper is sponsoring the design coordination portionandSam Barchus is serving as Project Sponsor.
To date, MSE walls are complete; bridge girders have been set and forms ready for concrete deck pour; Goodfellow Bros., Inc. has roadway and campsites graded for paving; and onsite rock sorting for the breakwaters is complete and ready for the in-water work period to begin on November 15, 2010.
